FILMMAKING & CAMERA WORK COURSES.

Are your kids interested in film & cinematography? Are they talking about wanting to go to college for film? Do you think it would be fun to give them the opportunity to learn from an industry professional and practice on professional equipment?

If the answer is yes to any of those than I’d love to show you what I’ve put together

MEET YOUR TUTOR.

Hey, my name is Mr. Bishop! I’ve been working professionally as a director and cinematographer right here in central Florida for the past 8 years. So far I’ve filmed:

  • 130k feature film (in festival run now)

  • Award winning short feature film

  • 11 short films

  • over 150 weddings

  • 33 music videos

  • 50-60 commercial videos

I love what I do, but I also love education! I routinely have been mentoring people looking to make their way into the industry so wanting to do something like this became a no brainer.

I looked over everything I could offer from my professional experience and built out 3 really fun courses that share the foundational skills needed to ACTUALLY get started in this trade.

Your children would get to use my equipment, learn the filmmaking material then practice what we learned with someone guiding their approach and answering questions. Also they would get to keep the footage of everything they shoot!

So let’s take a look at what I’ve put together!

HOW DO THE COURSES WORK?

Due to the complexity of what we’re learning and the caliber of equipment being used, these courses are only available for children 14y and up.

We would meet in a small group (2-3 kids) or for 1 on 1 lessons once a week. If you’re looking for more than once a week or if it’s a time of year with a school break (summer, winter, spring break, etc) we could schedule a few lessons per week.

Regardless, each lesson would be 2 hours long.

  • first hour is where we discuss the weeks lesson material

  • second hour we film and put it to practical use

After we complete the lesson they can dump their footage onto their laptop or hard drive to take home with them!

At the completion of the course we would film something together utilizing the concepts we learned throughout the different lessons.
